MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

A family-owned company, Dynomax designs, manufactures and develops high-precision machined components, injection molding and tooling, sub-assemblies, automated work cells, specialty machines, and machine tool spindles since 1986. Our Electrical Connectors Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with Electrical Connectors/Cable Harness experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Engineer will develop manufacturing packages including routers, drawings, models, and work instructions, and span raw material selection, machining, processing, and assembly.  

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
  • Read and interpret customer and industry specifications
  • For parts of low to medium complexity, develop the entire manufacturing process: material selection, material treatments, work-holding, machining, finishing processes, etc.
  • Develop documents which drive the manufacturing process: drawings, models, assemblies, etc.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Maintain proper documentation (traceability, customer requirements…) and complete production routers
  • Utilize problem solving skills commensurate to an engineering position
  • Perform root-cause analysis and develop solutions
  • Perform manufacturing analysis on orders

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role in heavily documented and specification-centric industry
  • 5+ years of experience working with CNC machining
  • Demonstrated ability to: review customer engineering, and create routers, drawings, work instructions for Production and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability to: create standards and engineer solutions
  • Experience using a modern CAD system

 

Our ideal Manufacturing Engineer will also have experience in the following:

  • Experience with Aerospace/Defense OEM specifications
  • Experience with Epicor ERP System
  • Experience in a Lean culture
  • Knowledge of MasterCAM, SiemensNX or Catia
